It's been awhile since we were last gathered here...all 3 of us. Anyway, the time has come for me to take the serious step and move this into a real opportunity to grow myself as writer. Social media has it's place as a tool to reach people and the best way I can gain readers, because these days, the goal is to grow the brand. I know I can deliver the product.
Notably, the product has been unavailable for over a year. I got caught up in one blog post that I conceived and rewrote in my head a thousand times over the past year or so since I last wrote. Life happened and I was very busy with work, family, home and my time with my muse was limited to say the least. Inspirations still happened, but they were quick hits, bullet points on a page or one-liners that needed to take shape as part of a larger story.
So I guess this is more of a refocusing than a true fresh start. I'll be separating the writer from my personal accounts so the me as a writer will have a voice on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, or wherever I can build a following. I already have the page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/incompletewriter/) which just needs to be revamped as well, but will give some consistency with this blog. Plus, I have added another blog to the family, so I got that going for me...
By the end of this week, I should have re-established the brand, connected the social media to draw attention (we writers crave attention - look at me! look at me! We're worse than actors, truth be told) and posted on each of my 4 blogs. I'm all tingly with anticipation.
I wonder if I should temper the tingly and let my editor review this before I post. Normally, that's what editors do, but, well...heck with that. She can look at it afterward. I can always make corrections, it's not like I'm printing a million copies or anything.
Stay tuned. A more Incomplete Writer is yet to come...
That didn't sound right. This might take more than a week...so keep one eye on the web, and the other on your boss (you know she's watching you play on the Internet during work hours.)
